Meindl have released the new model Bhutan to replace the model Burma.
The model Burma has been an amazingly successful boot for a very long time, however with boot technology and material advances Meindl decided to replace the Burma with the model Bhutan.
We suppled samples of the Bhutan to our specialist Meindl retailers for their appraisal.
The retailers have been nothing less than super enthusiastic about the Bhutan in both mens and ladies versions.
One leading New Zealand Meindl retailer, who has recently been awarded the “Most Outstanding Customer Service Person” award for 2014 compared the Burma and Bhutan models by wearing a Burma on one foot and a Bhutan on the other for a full day on his feet in his shop and he stated quite emphatically that at the end of the long day the foot wearing the Bhutan was more comfortable that the Burma!
The model Bhutan is named after the Kingdom of Bhutan a particularly spectacular mountainous country in the Himalayas bordering India and China.
The Bhutan is a B category and is both 100% waterproof Gore-Tex lined and has the MFS Mouldable foam lining for superb foot support and comfort. The boot is designed for all trail types and general trekking use. It can be used for light off trail use in rolling country.
